Safety instructions  
ƽ Danger of electric shock  
Plug the hairdryer only into correctly installed power sockets rated to 230 V and 50 Hz.  
Never immerse the hairdryer in liquid or allow liquid to penetrate the appliance's casing. Do  
not expose the appliance to moisture or use outdoors. Should liquid happen to penetrate the  
appliance's casing, unplug the appliance immediately and have it repaired by a qualified  
electrician.  
Never use the hairdryer near water in bathtubs, showers, sinks or other containers.  
Placing the appliance close to water is dangerous even when turned off. Unplug the applian-  
ce after every use. For additional protection we recommend installing a residual current ope-  
rated device with a rated trip current of no more than 30 mA in the bathroom circuit. Ask  
your electrician for advice.  
Unplug the hairdryer in the event of malfunction and before cleaning.  
Always unplug the power cord at the plug, do not pull on the cord itself.  
Do not wrap the power cord around the hairdryer and protect it from damage.  
Should the power cord be damaged, have the hairdryer repaired by a qualified electrician  
before using it again.  
Do not bend or crush the power cord; always position it so that no-one can step or trip on it.  
Never pull the cable from the appliance beyond the red mark.  
Do not use an extension cord.  
Never touch the hairdryer, power cord or plug with wet hands.  
Disconnect your hairdryer from the power supply immediately after use. The appliance is  
only completely switched off when it has been unplugged.  
Do not open or repair the hairdryer's casing.  
Doing so may compromise safety and will invalidate the warranty. Have the faulty hairdryer  
repaired only by an approved electrician.  
ƽ Fire hazard and danger of injury  
Always keep the hairdryer out of children's reach. Take special care to ensure that the appli-  
ance is used by children only in the presence of an adult.  
Never put down the hairdryer when switched on and  
never leave the appliance unattended when operating.  
Do not place the hairdryer close to heat sources and protect the power cord from damage.  
Should the hairdryer be dropped or become damaged, do not use it anymore. Have the  
appliance inspected and if necessary repaired by a qualified electrician.

Do not cover the air grille while the appliance is in operation. Clean it at regular intervals.  
The hairdryer will heat up during operation. Hold it only by the handle when it is in  
this heated condition.  
Proper use  
The hairdryer is for drying and styling human hair and is on no account suitable for use on syn-  
thetic wigs or hairpieces. The hairdryer is designed exclusively for private use.  
Please observe all the information in these operating instructions,  
particularly the safety instructions.

ƽ Caution!  
Never pull the power cord from the appliance beyond the red mark as this may damage  
both appliance and cable.  
Unfold the hairdryer until you hear the handle engage.  
Do not pull the cord from the appliance beyond the red mark.  
Plug in the power cord.  
Turn on the hairdryer at the function switch.

The function switch features four power settings:  
COOL Cooler airflow  
0
1
2
Off  
Medium warm airflow  
Fast hot airflow  
After use, switch off the appliance at the function switch and disconnect from the power  
supply. Push the button for automatic cable retraction to wind up the cable.  
Drying and styling hair  
To dry your hair quickly, we recommend you first use setting “2" for a short time and then  
switch to ”1" to create your style.  
The styling nozzle included allows you to systematically use the airflow for styling.  
Before combing your hair, let it cool briefly so that the hairstyle retains its shape.  
You can also use the “COOL” setting to blow your hair cool.  
ƽ Caution!  
Do not pack or transport the hairdryer until it has cooled down.  
Doing so could damage other appliances.  
Cleaning  
ƽ Danger of electric shock!  
Before cleaning the hairdryer, always disconnect from the power supply.  
Cleaning the casing  
Clean the casing with mild soapsuds using a slightly damp cloth.  
Cleaning the air grille and filter pad  
ƽ Fire hazard!  
Clean the air grille and filter pad at regular intervals using a soft brush.  
Pull the air grille away from the casing (see Figure C)  
Clean the filter pad and the air grille openings using a soft brush.  
Replace the filter pad and push the air grille back onto the casing.

ƽ Danger of electric shock!  
After having been cleaned, the hairdryer must dry completely before being used again.  
Rectifying malfunctions  
Should your hairdryer not function as expected, disconnect from the mains and contact the ser-  
vice centre indicated in the “Warranty” supplementary sheet.  
Disposal  
Dispose of the hairdryer at an approved waste management facility. Do not on any account  
throw the hairdryer away with your household waste. Please observe the current regulations in  
effect. In case of doubt, please contact your waste management facility.
